'Robot' Brings Jolt to ITEXPO


iRobot, a company that builds and designs robots that make a difference, made a change on its board this week to make a difference in the consumer market.  The leader in delivering robotic technology-based solutions announced the addition of Michelle V. Stacy to its board of directors.

Stacy has made a career out of building brands and leading consumer businesses. The former president of Keurig, inc. and former VP and general manager with Gilette/P&G is making the leap into robotics. She currently sits on the board of directors of Tervis Tumbler Company and Young Innovations, Inc., is a professional speaker and director advisor to the Cambridge group. 

Chairman and CEO of iRobot Colin Angle stated, "In addition to a proven track record of leading a hyper-growth business, Michelle brings experience building unified global organizations with clearly defined visions and brands…Her strengths in the consumer products industry, combining new product innovations with successful sales and marketing campaigns, are also very important as iRobot looks to build awareness of its brand and products worldwide."

Stacy’s results speak volumes, from 2008-13 Stacy took Keurig, Inc. from annual revenues of $493 million to over $4 billion. 

In a statement from iRobot, Stacy proclaimed, “I am excited to be joining the board of directors at iRobot, a company that is at the forefront of developing new, innovative technologies.”  She continued, "I look forward to working alongside the iRobot leadership team and leveraging my experience as the company focuses on launching new products, accelerating innovation, and building a globally recognized brand."

iRobot’s offerings stretch from vacuums to clean the home, security and defense robots to protect those in need and its remote presence robots offer collaboration from any point on the globe.  VP Business Development, Karl Dahlin is a Keynote speaker at ITEXPO Thursday August 14 at 9:30 a.m. Dahlin will take his 25 years of senior leadership experience to the Rio, don’t miss it!
