If there is one message Codero Hosting hopes its existing and prospective customers take away about the company’s mission, it’s this:  Codero Hosting will never abandon the tech-dependent small- to medium-sized businesses (SMB) that is looking for dedicated, managed hosting and cloud services.

“If an enterprise shows up at our doorstop, sure we will entertain it. But that’s not our focus,” Chandler Vaughn, Codero’s senior vice president of product development told TMCnet at IETXPO West 2014 Monday. “We try to take a non-traditional approach to IT; we want to automate and provide customer service around IT so we can offer disruptive pricing in the market to the SMB.”

All one has to do is take a look at Codero’s recent press releases to see proof of that commitment to the SMB. Most recently, the company announced the release of its new Proactive Managed Hosting service. Targeted for the e-commerce, SaaS (News - Alert) and Web-dependent businesses—and boasting a customized enterprise-class service—the managed hosting solution combines a high degree of customer service and automation and leverages a unique automation hosting layer.

The model takes Codero customers soup to nuts through what a proposed environment should look like. Customers can leverage the Proactive Managed Hosting in tandem with Codero’s other offerings for an unmatched curated service powered by a dedicated team of experts.

Everything that Codero does is with the SMB in mind.

“We want to focus on the companies most of our competitors are abandoning, and they are abandoning them because it’s a common practice in managed hosting to go upstream and do enterprise business,” Vaughn said. “But the reason managed hosting and dedicated hosting is growing is the SMB, so that’s where we want to focus.”

At its core, Codero is about serving customers dedicated, managed or hosting needs from “cradle to grave” by developing the best solutions at the best price for IT problems. Whether it’s helping a fledgling company get its feet wet with its first outsourced IT set-up or implementing a complex IT infrastructure that supports a huge e-commerce empire, Codero is committed to outsourcing excellence.

In fact, Codero is committed to proactive managed services.

“It’s about building trust and making sure the customer knows that you really are an extension of their company,” Vaughn said. “It’s core to our sales process.”

While at ITEXPO (News - Alert) this week, Vaughn will be speaking on the panel discussion titled “Top Five Mistakes Businesses Make When Going Cloud,” taking place Tuesday, August 12, from 11:30-12:15 PT. The topic will explore how cloud computing has become a viable resource for nearly all IT needs today but that many companies still make key strategic mistakes when making the move to cloud. According to Vaughn, some of these mistakes can include not taking into account things like security, management, auditing and change management.
