This year’s ITEXPO event being held August 11-14 at the Rio in Las Vegas will bring together industry leaders to provide cutting-edge insights into the field of business technology.

Of particular interest at this year’s ITEXPO (News - Alert) is the profound wealth of innovation and content cloud computing is bringing to the table, thanks in major part to IT pundits like Pablo Marin, CEO and founder of MyCloudIT.com.

Pablo is an impassioned IT professional responsible for creating the first IT network automation solution based on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). With his creation, MyCloudIT.com, small and medium businesses alike are given the same suite of IT offerings (Office 2013 Pro Plus, Adobe (News - Alert), Flash, etc.) typically allotted only to larger enterprises with deeper pockets.

Recently, TMC had the opportunity to share in a brief discussion with Pablo regarding his thoughts on the developing business climate thanks to the increasing adoption of cloud technology.

Is the BYOD trend slowing down or is it still gaining momentum?  Why?

Based on the amount of leads, customers and growth we’re experiencing at MyCloudIT.com, I’d say this is a definite upward trend. BYOD is a byproduct of moving to the cloud, and with our ability to create entire Windows networks and virtual desktops in the cloud, it’s now easier than ever before for businesses to seamlessly support BYOD.

How has mobility changed the way you and your team work?

Absolutely. Having the ability to connect to our work environment from any place, and at any time, has increased my team’s productivity by more than two-fold.

How has mobility impacted the way you interact with your customers?

Mobility has impacted every aspect of MyCloudIT.com – especially customer interactions. Since we can access our network environment and tools from anywhere, we’re able to provide support 24/7 from home and on the road.

Do you trust the cloud?  Please explain.

‘Cloud’ is a broad term; it’s like asking “do you like cars?” There are some cloud providers I don’t trust, and there are some that I trust greatly. I would say, however, that if you trust Gmail or Hotmail, then you trust the cloud.

What functions/applications has your business moved to the cloud that you were once running on-premises?  How has migrating to cloud benefitted you?

As a business that offers cloud-based IT solutions that allow businesses to operate 100 percent in the cloud, our behind-the-scenes operations at MyCloudIT.com are also 100 percent in the cloud. We have never been on-premises. The cloud has benefitted us tremendously as we’re able to grow and scale seamlessly, and work from any location and any device.

What will attendees learn from your session?

I’m a huge advocate for moving entire networks and desktops into the cloud (that’s our mission at MyCloudIT.com), so I’ll be sharing practical ways businesses can leap into the cloud, and also confront some of the common fears and challenges faced in this transition. Moving to the cloud can have a tremendous impact on productivity, scalability and growth, and I look forward to getting attendees excited about the possibilities.
