Redsis Corporation, a partner of biometric systems and devices manufacturer and distributor Fulcrum (News - Alert) Biometrics, has successfully completed contracts in South America, which include deploying proprietary biometric software solutions for the banking industry. In fact, U.S.-based Redsis partnered with Fulcrum to supply banking institutions in the region with state-of-the-art biometric software and fingerprint devices from Futronic Technology. Put simply, this system collects and stores biometric data for authentication purposes, helping the banking industry combat fraudulent activity.

Fulcrum is Futronic’s distributor for North and Central America, but also has global reach in sales and marketing of Futronic’s products. However, Fulcrum also has resale agreements with other companies too. For example, the company signed a reseller deal with IriTech to sell its IriShield iris recognition scanner systems.

Redsis, meanwhile, has deployed more than 1,000 fingerprint scanners and desktop software packages to date in aid of reducing banking industry fraud. The system deployed in South America specifically relies on the Futronic FS88 fingerprint scanner due to its ruggedness, competitive cost and technical capabilities, which enable deployment of high-quality hardware and software solutions. Additionally, the FS88 is certified to meet or exceed the FBI Integrated Automated Fingerprint Information System (IAFIS) standard for interoperability.

Redsis decided to partner with Fulcrum because of the company’s strong track record in supplying biometric software and hardware solutions in countries around the globe. In this instance particularly, Fulcrum’s expertise in the banking and credit union industry came in handy in meeting customer regulatory requirements and budgeted cost structures.

"Redsis is a great example of how our consultancy philosophy in sales led to a winning solution for all," said Ken Nosker, president of Fulcrum Biometrics, in a statement. "With the exceptional value that the Futronic products bring to each project and the expertise that Redsis brings to the local markets, we are able to service our customers as a team in such a way that helps all of us win business."
